“I grew up in a family of animal lovers in a big house in Rio, where my grandparents, uncle, auntie, mom, dad, my sister and I lived all together. My uncle was a biologist and used to bring animals from the Amazon forest to the university in Rio. Luckily for me, they always passed their quarantine at home, so I could observe and sometimes play with them. I loved animals so much that I put them on the same category as people. At my age of five, my gradmother was already ill, so I used to say that “when I grow up, I’ll be a veterinary to take care of grandma.” I’m not a vet, but became vegan, which in a way, could be the same.”
